| The House in the Village | |
|
|
|
|
We have a cozy little house to let in the heart of the historic center. The house, full of sunshine, has been renovated with love and attention. The floors and furniture are antique. The walls have been painted with natural colors.

The apartment is composed of three stories: entryway/kitchen, living room and bathroom, double bedroom. It sleeps from two to five people: two adults and a child in the large double bedroom, two on the sofa bed in the living room.
The windows of the living room, bathroom, and bedroom look out over the valley of the Lente river. The big window in the kitchen looks out over the street, Via dei Merli, that runs through the entire village to the monumental door, Porta dei Merli, located in the archaeological park down in the valley.

The view is gorgeous. The sun illuminates the valley all day, as the light changes continually in a dazzling display of colors.

The garden, near the archaeological park, is only a few minutes' walk away. The site of the garden is located on an area of prehistoric dwellings, later used as deposit area where shards and broken pots were discarded. Today an ideal park for children and adults to play in.

Together with us you can have direct experience of the primary elements:
- earth to dig in, rock to climb or sculpt, water to mix with clay, wood to build huts with or burn.
- In terms of the plant kingdom - you can learn to recognize and how to use the many aromatic plants, wild herbs, and edible wild plants, the original "old fruits" of the area, and the wild plants of the Mediterranean
plant community, "la macchia Mediterranea."
- You can play with the friendly animals who inhabit our garden: cats, chickens, chicks, dwarf rabbits, goldfish, and a sheepdog named Philos.
You can also participate in the manual chores needed for the upkeep of the park, or, in season, help harvest grapes or chop wood for fuel.

The fruit and vegetables produced by our organic garden are available to our guests --including eggs from our free-range chickens, wine, oil, vinegar, and home-made preservers - all ingredients organically grown, of course.

If you wish, we can also organize for you:
- Side trips and excursions in the surrounding wild areas with expert guides
- Dinners in taverns with typical Mediterranean dishes
- Advice and addresses recommending the best local craftsmen, stables, thermal baths, and restaurants
